Implementation of 11th BP Settlement Government’s clearance received

Implementation of 11th BP Settlement Government’s clearance received

We had informed our units and members that IBA has referred the matter of implementation of 11th BP Settlement with workmen Unions and Joint Note with Officers organization to the Government.

Specific approval of the Government is required to implement officers wage revision on an adhoc basis pending amendment to the Officers Service Regulations. Similarly, Government approval is also required to pay pension based on revised payscales pending amendment to Pension Regulations. Hence the issue was referred to the Government.

The matter of approval was getting delayed and hence implementation of revised payscales and payment of arrears were also being delayed. Hence the issue was taken up with the Chairman of IBA by our four workmen unions to expedite the matter. He also assured to take up the matter with the Government to quicken the approval.

Yesterday evening, the Government’s approval has been received and today IBA is advising all Banks to go ahead with the implementation of the Settlement, pay arrears to the employees and implement the new salary and allowances.

The Joint Circular of AIBEA-NCBE-NOBW-INBEF is furnished herein for the information of our Unions.

Our All India Bankwise Unions/Federations are requested to follow up the matter with their management to implement the revised salary as per 11th BPS and also make disbursement of the arrears to the staff.

Units are also reminded to ensure collection of Levy contribution by all our members and sharing of the same as per quota already

advised.

Yours comradely,

C.H. VENKATACHALAM GENERAL SECRETARY
