CIRCULAR NO. 28/462/2022/33 TO ALL UNIONS AND MEMBERS:
Dear Comrades,
We reproduce herein the text of the letter addressed by the Convener, UFBU to Chairman of IBA.
The IBA is adopting a very casual approach to these important issues. Hence UFBU meeting is being held at Mumbai on 8th June, 2022 to discuss about organisational programmes if the IBA does not hold discussion to expeditiously resolved the residual and pending issues.
Text of UFBU Letter to Chairman, IBA
We refer to our letter dated 15-04-2022 regarding the meeting we had with you on 13-04-2022 on the residual and pending issues.
As you are aware, we had brought to your attention the following important issues.
- Introduction of Five Day Banking
- Updation of pension, improvement in pension scheme and other pension related issues.
- Clarifications to be given to the Bank on various important issues like stagnation increment, fixation for Ex-servicemen employees who have joined the Banks between 1-11-2017 and 10-11-2020, etc.
- Issuing FAQ on issues referred by Banks regarding implementation of Bipartite Settlement/Joint Note dated 11-11-2020.
- Residual issues as listed in the minutes of discussions signed with Workman Unions on 10-12-2020 and with Officers Associations on 4-1-2021.
- Renewal of Group Medical Insurance Policy after discussions with the Unions on improvements. Discussion to be held on ways and means to reduce the premium payable by retirees.
You had assured that these issues would be discussed further. Hence, we have been awaiting communication from the IBA in this regard. We wish to inform you that so far IBA has not fixed up any meeting and hence the delay is causing a lot of resentment amongst the employees and retirees.
These are important issues and have been pending for quite a long time. Hence these issues need to be discussed and amicably resolved expeditiously. Hence, we request you to advise IBA officials to arrange for further discussions on these issues so that the issues are resolved at the earliest in a time-bound manner.
With greetings, Yours comradely,
C.H. VENKATACHALAM GENERAL SECRETARY
